Ok... I know it's been forever since I've posted anything. But, I guess now is as good as time as ever. This picture of my little man Quincy was taken this last weekend at his cousin's 6th birthday party. He always has such a great time with his cousins! His uncle Jason was actually able to get this picture of him right before he jumped into a pile of foam bricks. Can you believe this child is going to be 18 months old coming up!!! 18 months!! I'm so sorry that I have not done a better job at posting/taking pictures of either of the boys... but right here right now... I make a promise to everyone, that I will try to do better!! I hope everyone is doing well!! Love you!!Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Quincy's 2 month check

Yesterday was one of those days.... Quincy had his two month check up appointment. This of course included a round of the mean routine shots. I personally think it's harder the younger they are. I can't explain to him what's about to happen and why. If that wasn't bad enough, while our Pediatrician Dr. Hung was checking him out, he got his poor little fingers stuck under the full length mirror that's over the exam table. To make matters even worse, after we got home, he had an adverse reaction to one of the combination shots. The injection site on his left thigh swelled up to the size of a bright red tennis ball. Add uncontrollable crying and sure enough..... this landed our slightly over reacting new family in the Children's Hospital Emergency Room. Thank heavens he's ok!! A little fussy today, but for the most part he's fine. However, as we were driving out of the parking garage last night, I glanced up at the brightly lit hospital rooms. I could only imagine what the parents were going through in those rooms. My heart literally hurt for them. It also made me feel SO unbelievably thankful and blessed that we have two children that are perfectly healthy. Not to mention... we are so lucky to have such a wonderful state of the art facility in our own backyard. Way to go Seattle's Children's Hospital!!

Dreaming of Sunshine
Well everyone... Today was another step in the "Maui direction." We just finished with one of our FINAL vet appointments. In order to bring our cat along on our Maui move, we have to go through numerous steps that include extremely expensive vet visits. Today was no exception. Musha was micro chipped and had blood drawn for a rabies test. Of course it was pouring this morning as I packed along a brand new baby.... diaper bag... purse.... a crabby 10 year old... and an inpatient kitty in a crate. The only thing that kept me from losing my patience was the image above. Three more months..... Three more months... But who's counting??!!
